Abstract: Con el paso del tiempo, ha cobrado mayor relevancia la salud reproductiva de la mujer, especialmente desde la etapa preconcepcional, con el fin de mejorar su calidad de vida, su fertilidad y lograr embarazos seguros que favorezcan el crecimiento y desarrollo saludable de las futuras generaciones. En este contexto, la microbiota intestinal ha comenzado a investigarse como un factor importante en diversas patologías, entre ellas el síndrome de ovario poliquístico (SOP), trastorno endocrino-metabólico que afecta a un gran número de mujeres en edad fértil y que se asocia frecuentemente con sobrepeso, obesidad, resistencia a la insulina y alteraciones hormonales...Over time, women's reproductive health, especially from the preconception stage, has gained increasing relevance, aiming to improve their quality of life, fertility, and achieve safe pregnancies that support the healthy growth and development of future generations.
