Abstract: Las características geográficas del Ecuador, permiten al país contar con una serie de atractivos que motivan tanto el turismo externo, como interno. Actividades que requieren de productos y servicios como el de alojamiento. Por lo tanto, el presente trabajoplantea como objetivo proponer un plan de negocios para la creación de un hostal con temática colonial en el municipio de Rumiñahui en la parroquia Sangolquí. Para este fin,se plantea una investigación con enfoque cualitativo, tipo descriptivo, que emplea como herramienta el uso de un modelo de encuesta aplicado a los visitantesde los atractivos turísticos de Sangolquí,cuyos resultados permitieron identificar el perfil del cliente, quienesson hombres y mujeres de la ciudad de Quito,con edades entre 25 a 45 años, dispuestos a pagar por noche de alojamiento entre $30 y $40, presentan preferencia por la decoración del lugaryservicios como parqueadero, alimentación y que sea pet friendlyy deseanrecibir información a través de redes sociales.Para esto,se plantea la construcción de un hostal dos estrellas con estilo colonialdel siglo XVIII, que cuenta con 896 m2de construcción distribuidosentre subsuelo, planta baja, primer piso, segundo piso y tercer piso. Lo cual necesita una inversióninicial de $288,330.16, que con una demanda aproximada de 2,767 personas al año yuna tasa de crecimiento promedio del 6.3% anualgenera un Valor Actual Neto negativo de -67,722.41 y una Tasa Interna de Retorno de -35,31%,por lo que el proyecto no es viable.The geographical characteristics of Ecuador allow the country to have a series of attractions that motivate both foreign and domestic tourism. Therefore, the objective of this work is to propose a business plan for the creation of a hostel with a colonial theme in the municipality of Rumiñahui in the parish of Sangolquí. For this purpose, a research with a qualitative approach, descriptive type, is proposed, which employs as a tool the use of a survey model applied to visitors of the tourist attractions of Sangolquí, whose results allowed identifying the customer profile, who are men and women from the city of Quito, aged between 25 and 45 years, willing to pay per night of accommodation between $30 and $40, have a preference for the decoration of the place and services such as parking, food and that it is pet friendlyand wish to receive information through social networks. For this purpose, the construction of a two-star hostel in 18th century colonial style is proposed, with 896 m2 of construction distributed among basement, first floor, second floor, second floor and third floor. This requires an initial investment of $288,330.16, which with an approximate demand of 2,767 people per year and an average growth rate of 6.3% per year generates a negative Net Present Value of -67,722.41 and an Internal Rate of Return of -35.31%, making the project unfeasible.
