Diseño interior para el pub Chill & Chela

Abstract

El proyecto de diseño interior para el pub “Chill & Chela” se presenta como una respuesta a la desconexión que existía en su propuesta actual, la cual se basaba en festivales inspirados en la cerveza con carácter europeo, dentro de un diseño industrial. Pese a que ellos proponen eventos como el Oktoberfest, el ambiente resultaba genérico y no conectaba al usuario con su pub. Para resolver esta problemática, se plantea el concepto de “Festival en Cápsula”, con el objetivo de trasladar la esencia de los festivales a su entorno físico (pub), adaptándolo al contexto local de la ciudad de Cuenca. La estrategia de diseño fue una inspiración en teselas circulares, que permitieron crear zonas encapsuladas sin interrumpir circulación ni mezclar espacios. Dándonos así espacios sociales, para eventos, zonas herméticas y el área del personal. La materialidad combina lo artesanal con lo industrial, en un entorno con un ambiente cálido, en un recorrido que permite ir desde lo más íntimo hasta lo más expresivo que son sus eventos.En conclusión, “Chill & Chela” se transformó en un espacio que narra una historia, para reforzar su identidad festiva sin perder la esencia de un pub. The interior design project for the pub “Chill & Chela” is presented as a response to the disconnection that existed in its previous proposal, which was based on beer-inspired festivals with a European character, within an industrial design. Although they promoted events such as Oktoberfest, the atmosphere felt generic and failed to connect users with the pub.To address this issue, the concept of “Festival in a Capsule” was developed, with the goal of bringing the essence of festivals into the physical environment (the pub), while adapting it to the local context of the city of Cuenca. The design strategy was inspired by circular tesserae, which allowed the creation of encapsulated areas without interrupting circulation or mixing spaces. This resulted in social areas, event spaces, hermetic zones, and the staff area.The materiality blends artisanal and industrial elements, creating a warm atmosphere within a spatial journey that transitions from the most intimate corners to the most expressive area: the events.In conclusion, “Chill & Chela” has been transformed into a space that tells a story, reinforcing its festive identity without losing the essence of a pub.
