Abstract

Este proyecto responde a la necesidad de ampliar el estudio KINEA Pilates, debido a la creciente demanda de clientes de Quito y los valles. La nueva sucursal se ubicará en Ontaneda, Conocoto, un entorno que ofrece fácil acceso y una conexión directa con la naturaleza, elemento clave en la experiencia del usuario. El diseño interior ha sido concebido para integrarse con la esencia del método Pilates, reflejando su fluidez, equilibrio y movimiento. Se han utilizado curvas orgánicas en la distribución del espacio, generando una sensación envolvente desde el ingreso hasta cada área de entrenamiento. Las zonas han sido delimitadas estratégicamente, permitiendo el desarrollo de distintas técnicas en ambientes amplios y bien definidos.La iluminación natural es un pilar fundamental del diseño, potenciada a través de grandes ventanales que conectan el interior con el entorno. Además, se ha empleado una paleta de materiales cuidadosamente seleccionada: espejos de gran tamaño para mejorar la percepción del movimiento, mobiliario oculto que optimiza el espacio y pisos de PVC deportivo en tono madera, garantizando seguridad y confort en la práctica de los ejercicios. El mobiliario de las áreas administrativas y complementarias ha sido diseñado inspirándose en los movimientos del método Pilates, como The Hundred, Rolling y Teaser, integrando el equilibrio y la armonía en cada detalle. De esta manera, el espacio no solo cumple una función estética y funcional, sino que se convierte en una extensión de la práctica misma, promoviendo una experiencia inmersiva y alineada con los principios del Pilates.Esta nueva sucursal no solo será un lugar para ejercitarse, sino un espacio donde el diseño, el cuerpo y el entorno natural se fusionan para potenciar el bienestar de cada usuario. This project responds to the need to expand the KINEA Pilates studio, due to the growing demand of clients from Quito and the valleys. The new branch will be located in Ontaneda, Conocoto, an environment that offers easy access and a direct connection to nature, a key element in the user experience.The interior design has been conceived to integrate with the essence of the Pilates method, reflecting its fluidity, balance and movement. Organic curves have been used in the distribution of space, generating an enveloping sensation from the entrance to each training area. The areas have been strategically delimited, allowing the development of different techniques in spacious and well-defined environments.Natural lighting is a fundamental pillar of the design, enhanced through large windows that connect the interior with the environment. In addition, a carefully selected palette of materials has been used: large mirrors to improve the perception of movement, concealed furniture that optimizes space, and wood-toned PVC sports flooring, guaranteeing safety and comfort in the practice of the exercises.The furniture in the administrative and complementary areas has been designed inspired by the movements of the Pilates method, such as The Hundred, Rolling and Teaser, integrating balance and harmony in every detail. In this way, the space not only fulfills an aesthetic and functional function, but becomes an extension of the practice itself, promoting an immersive experience aligned with the principles of Pilates.This new branch will not only be a place to exercise, but a space where design, the body and the natural environment merge to enhance the well-being of each user.
