Diseño de un terminal de transporte de carga y pasajeros para el cantón Yacuambi

Abstract

El presente estudio se centra en el diseño de un terminal de transporte terrestre para el cantón Yacuambi, ubicado en la provincia de Zamora Chinchipe. La investigación comienza con la identificación de la problemática existente, donde la falta de una infraestructura adecuada para el transporte de carga y pasajeros ha causado congestión vehicular y peatonal en la plaza central del cantón. Este problema se debe a la inexistencia de un terminal dedicado que facilite el embarque y desembarque de pasajeros, así como la carga y descarga de productos. La tesis se justifica por la necesidad de establecer un sistema de transporte más organizado y eficiente, que atienda tanto a la población actual y futura. Se busca mejorar la movilidad y optimizar los flujos económicos y territoriales, promoviendo el comercio y el turismo en la región. El objetivo general del proyecto es diseñar un terminal de transporte que satisfaga las necesidades del cantón Yacuambi, considerando aspectos contextuales, funcionales y tecnológicos. Para lograrlo, se empleará una metodología mixta que incluye un análisis teórico, diagnóstico del sitio y desarrollo de la propuesta. Se realizarán entrevistas y encuestas, y se estudiarán casos similares para extraer estrategias aplicables. TThe present study focuses on the design of a land transportation terminal for the Yacuambi canton, located in the province of Zamora Chinchipe. The investigation begins with the identification of the existing problem, where the lack of adequate infrastructure for the transportation of cargo and passengers has caused vehicular and pedestrian congestion in the central square of the canton. This problem is due to the lack of a dedicated terminal that facilitates the boarding and disembarking of passengers, as well as the loading and unloading of products. The thesis is justified by the need to establish a more organized and efficient transportation system, which serves both the current and future population. The aim is to improve mobility and optimize economic and territorial flows, promoting trade and tourism in the region. The general objective of the project is to design a transportation terminal that meets the needs of the Yacuambi canton, considering contextual, functional and technological aspects. To achieve this, a mixed methodology will be used that includes a theoretical analysis, site diagnosis and development of the proposal. Interviews and surveys will be conducted, and similar cases will be studied to extract applicable strategies.
