Estudio del espacio doméstico dedicado al aseo y cuidado corporal en viviendas del centro histórico de Loja, con relación a las formas de habitar

Abstract

Los espacios domésticos se han transformado a lo largo de la historia, particularmente en el siglo XX producto de los cambios sociales, culturales, económicos y tecnológicos, a nivel urbano como residencial. La ciudad de Loja no fue la excepción por lo tanto también experimentó grandes transformaciones durante el siglo anterior. El presente trabajo de investigación se centra en identificar las transformaciones producidas en los bienes inmuebles patrimoniales de la ciudad de Loja en relación a los espacios habitables con los modos de habitar. Para ello es necesario ubicarnos en el contexto partiendo de los antecedentes históricos y eventos importantes a nivel global, nacional y local. Dentro del marco teórico la presente investigación aborda la parte histórica como el ámbito de estudio en la transformación evolutiva del espacio dedicado al aseo y cuidado corporal dentro del espacio doméstico, permitiendo encontrar la explicación a las manifestaciones sociales actuales; la parte descriptiva que pretende explicar el comportamiento en relación a los modos de habitar actuales y finalmente, el análisis comparativo como herramienta para generar el diseño metodológico en este caso de manera cualitativa con el fin de evidenciar las maneras en que los habitantes consolidan su espacio doméstico. Los resultados permitieron determinar, entre otras cosas que no es hasta el siglo XX que aparece el cuarto de baño completo dentro de una vivienda a través de la construcción de redes de agua y alcantarillado. Espacios que sin duda alguna hoy en día forman parte fundamental en toda vivienda. Domestic spaces have been transformed throughout history, particularly in the 20th century, as a result of social, cultural, economic or technological changes, both at an urban and residential level. The city of Loja was no exception, therefore it also experienced great transformations during the previous century. The present research work focuses on identifying the transformations produced in the heritage real estate of the city of Loja in relation to the habitable spaces with the ways of living. For this, it is necessary to place ourselves in the context based on the historical antecedents and important events at the global, national and local levels. Within the theoretical framework, this research addresses the historical part as the field of study in the evolutionary transformation of the space dedicated to grooming and body care within the domestic space, allowing to find the explanation for the current social manifestations, on the other hand descriptive, which is intended explain the behavior in relation to the current ways of living and finally, the comparative analysis as a tool to generate the methodological design in this case in a qualitative way in order to show the ways in which the inhabitants consolidate their domestic space. The results made it possible to determine, among other things, that it was not until the 20th century that the complete bathroom appeared in a home through the construction of water and sewage networks. Spaces that are undoubtedly today a fundamental part of every home.
