Propuesta arquitectónica de biblioteca para la U.N.L. empleando el hormigón pretensado como herramienta de proyecto arquitectónico

Abstract

La actual Universidad Nacional de Loja cuenta con dos bibliotecas, la Biblioteca Alfredo Mora Reyes y la Actual Biblioteca General; en las cuales se puede evidenciar un déficit funcional y arquitectónico, a esto se suma el inadecuado manejo, control y conservación del material bibliográfico que cuenta con más de 27658 libros que están distribuidos en ambas bibliotecas. En base a la problemática se plantea realizar el diseño de una biblioteca vinculando a las estrategias que el hormigón pretensado nos da como herramienta de proyecto arquitectónico, que son: “La planta Libre”, “El Módulo” y La Prefabricación” como mencionan los autores: Miguel Fissac Louis Kahn y Julio Alonso Casado en el cual se detectó un pensamiento unánime en cuanto a dichas estrategias que el material nos ofrece. Basándonos en estas tres estrategias se logro resolver el proyecto arquitectónico de la biblioteca utilizando; La Prefabricacion con la finalidad de dar luces de 12 m con elementos pretensados que cumplas dichas características; la planta libre gracias a las luces se definió los 3 pisos donde el mobiliario logra delimitar los espacios y no paredes o elementos estructurantes; y finalmente el modulo que obtenemos gracias a los materiales prefabricados, ya que dichos elementos se convierten en el “ente” regulador de la biblioteca. Dicha propuesta arquitectónica responde a las necesidades de los usuarios, vinculando un espacio en los cuales sea posible almacenar todo el material bibliográfico y fortalezca el aprendizaje de la U.N.L. The Universidad Nacional de Loja has two libraries, Alfredo Mora Reyes Library and the current General Library; in which a functional and architectural deficit can be evidenced, in addition to the inadequate management, control and conservation of the bibliographic material that has more than 27658 books that are distributed in both libraries. Based on these problems, the design of a library is proposed, linking the strategies that prestressed concrete gives us as an architectural project tool based on different strategies, which are: “The Free Plant”, “The Module” and “Prefabrication” as mentioned by the authors: Miguel Fissac Louis Kahn and Julio Alonso Casado, and a unanimous thought was detected regarding these strategies that the material offers us. Based on these three strategies we were able to solve the architectural project of the library using; Prefabrication with the purpose of giving 12 m spans with prestressed elements that fulfill these characteristics; the free floor plan thanks to the spans defined the 3 floors where the furniture manages to delimit the spaces and not walls or structuring elements; and finally the module that we obtain thanks to the prefabricated materials, since these elements become the regulating “entity” of the library. This architectural proposal responds to the needs of the users, linking a space in which it is possible to store all the bibliographic material and strengthen the learning process at the U.N.L
