Abstract The objective of the research is to analyze the influence of the implementation of a security and control management system called the International Commercial Alliance for Secure Commerce or BASC (Business Alliance For Secure Commerce). The applied methodology is made up of a qualitative approach, with a correlational-descriptive scope, where deductive and inductive analytical methods are considered. In addition, the types of applied research are: non-experimental and transectional, with the support of the techniques, interview and observation sheet. Data triangulation was used to determine the main findings in the qualitative research. The sample is made up of 14 observation units, 7 consolidation companies (3 that have BASC standards, 1 in the process to be certified and 3 that do not have certification) and 7 clients. The results obtained conclude that there is knowledge about the benefits and importance of BASC certification, also that the perception of customers is good, both for companies with or without certification, and that business performance is influenced by the Management System and Control BASC, because it enhances the business image through trust and security for customers, but it is not necessarily related to economic success.
