In the operation of a diesel engine the combustion is carried out by injecting a certain amount of pulverized fuel by injectors with a high pressure that reaches the cylinders in which the compressed air is at a high pressure which creates high temperature and Allows the mix to turn on. The CRDI (Common Rail) system was developed by Magneti Marelli and Fiat in the 90s, but ended industrialized by the automotive brand Bosch. Since its inception, it has been implemented in several diesel engines thanks to its easy integration. The integration of this system gives very good results as a greater smoothness of operation which has increased the torque to 50% at low revolutions, a power increase of 25% and a reduction of fuel consumption by 20%. What really brings out this system is the possibility of complying with current and future environmental regulations which are very restrictive with respect to emitted particles such as: Hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxides.
