El banco constituye una herramienta didáctica para relacionar mediciones hidráulicas con pérdidas de energía, cavitación y golpe de ariete en sistemas automotrices...This study analyzed critical velocity and flow-regime transition in a closed-loop hydraulic test bench using temperature-controlled water and transparent 1/2 in and 3/4 in pipes. The system integrated a frequency-regulated pump, Hall-effect sensors, an Arduino Uno board, and a Nextion display to obtain flow rate, mean velocity, Reynolds number, and critical velocity. At 20, 40, and 60 Hz, both pipes operated under turbulent conditions; the 1/2 in pipe reached higher Reynolds numbers and entered the transition range earlier. The comparison confirmed the relationship among diameter, flow rate, and critical velocity and allowed water to be evaluated as a reference fluid. The bench is a didactic tool for linking hydraulic measurements with energy losses, cavitation, and water hammer in automotive systems....es
