Diseño de un sistema de gestión por procesos en el área de mantenimiento y transporte de la empresa OSPECIALTRUCKS S.A

Abstract

La industria dedicada al servicio de transporte pesado comercial en el Ecuador se ha convertido en un aliado estratégico para el desarrollo y crecimiento industrial, mediante ella se puede trasladar materia prima, insumos y productos terminados entre ciudades y provincias; la ejecución de este tipo de servicio debe ser de alta calidad conservando la cantidad y característica físicas del producto transportado. Actualmente, las empresas dedicadas a este tipo de servicio tienen algunos problemas para mantener las operaciones; la falta de leyes que regulen el precio de fletes, la informalidad y exceso de oferta crea un tipo de competencia desleal que agudizan la situación. El incremento de precios en: combustibles, neumáticos, repuestos e insumos, han obligado a las empresas a buscar la forma de optimizar todo tipo de recursos para mantener la operación. El presente trabajo de titulación tiene por objetivo el diseño de una herramienta administrativa que mediante su implementación permita; identificar, estandarizar y documentar las diferentes actividades realizadas en el área de mantenimiento y transporte de la empresa OSPCEIALTRUCKS S.A; además, mediante el análisis de los indicadores de gestión propuestos, se podrá tomar decisiones administrativas acertadas para mejorar el desempeño de la organización. La investigación para el desarrollo de este proyecto se basó en entrevistas personales con los diferentes funcionarios de la empresa en un momento dado. Currently, companies dedicated to this type of service have some problems to maintain operations; the lack of laws that regulate freight prices, informality and excess of supply create a type of unfair competition that exacerbates the situation. The prices has increased in some important products like: fuel, tires, spare parts and supplies, have forced companies to find a way to optimize all kinds of resources to maintain the operation. The objective of this titling work is the design of an administrative tool that, through its implementation, allows; identify, standardize and document the different activities carried out in the area of maintenance and transportation of the company OSPCEIALTRUCKS SA; In addition, through the analysis of the proposed management indicators, it will be possible to take some administrative decisions to improve the performance of the organization. The research for the development of this project was based on personal interviews with the different company officials at a given time.
