Common Rail system main characteristic is a high-pressure pump controlled by the ECU (Engine Control Unit), which maintains a high pressure of diesel inside the common rail so the injectors can distribute it to the cylinders of the engine, injecting the appropriate volume of diesel thanks to a difference of internal pressure, between its pressure and control chamber. Methodology: The Bosch EPS 205 injector test equipment was used in the investigation, which shows us the injection and return flow data of these injectors. Tests were applied to injectors manufactured by the brands: Bosch, Denso and Delphi. Results: The equipment displays the nominal reference data so it can be compared with the results obtained after passing the test. The data allow us to know if these injectors are defective. Conclusions: The injectors present some damage that indicate that is necessary to repair them. In new injectors, there is a possibility that they will not pass certain tests, due to adjustments made by the manufacturers to fulfill the current regulations of our country.
