This study examines the impact of the CANI pet food brand rebranding on the perception, recognition, and acceptance of dog owners in Quito through the application of neuromarketing techniques. In 2025, Bioalimentar redesigned the visual identity of its entire product portfolio to align with current market design trends. However, because the rebranding process was implemented without prior consumer research, the new packaging affected the brand’s positioning at the point of sale. The visual changes reduced product familiarity, making it more difficult for buyers to recognize the brand and weaken the trust previously associated with it. To evaluate these effects, the research combined traditional market research with neuromarketing-based digital analytics. Consumer perceptions were collected through structured surveys, while unconscious behavioral responses were analyzed using Microsoft Clarity, a digital analytics platform. This methodological approach was supported by Daniel Kahneman’s Dual Process Theory (2011), allowing the study to examine both intuitive and conscious decision-making processes…es
