Nivel Educativo Materno, Acceso a Servicios de Salud y Seguridad Alimentaria en la Prevención de la Desnutrición Crónica Infantil basados en ENDI 2023-2024

Abstract

La desnutrición crónica infantil (DCI) sigue siendo un desafío persistente en Ecuador, donde su prevalencia es de 17,5% en menores de 5 años según datos de la Encuesta Nacional sobre Desnutrición Infantil (ENDI) 2023-2024 (INEC, 2024). Uno de sus principales determinantes es el nivel de educación materna, el cual es un importante factor protector contra la desnutrición junto con el acceso a los servicios de salud (Torres et al., 2022). La inseguridad alimentariatambién muestra asociación con la DCI, pues al no haber acceso regular y suficientes a alimentos inocuos se produce un crecimiento y desarrollo deficiente en los niños (United Nations, 2023)...Chronic child malnutrition continues to be a persistent challenge in Ecuador, where its prevalence is 17.5% in children under 5 years of age, according to data from the National Survey on Child Malnutrition (ENDI) 2023-2024 (INEC, 2024).
