Caracterización epidemiológica de cáncer de mama de mujeres atendidas en el Instituto Oncológico “Dr. Juan Tanca Marengo” Solca Guayaquil durante el periodo 2020- 2022

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio fue determinar las características epidemiológicas del cáncer de mama de mujeres atendidas en el Instituto Oncológico “Dr. Juan Tanca Marengo”, período 2020-2022. El diseño fue observacional, descriptivo, cuantitativo y retrospectivo con 337 pacientes, utilizando una ficha de recolección de datos y el procesamiento estadístico con Microsoft Excel. Entre los resultados, se obtuvo que pertenecían al grupo etario de 46 a 55 años (27,9%), etnia mestiza (96,7%), residencia urbana (72,7%), nivel educativo secundario (48,1%), ocupación ama de casa (40,9%), padecían sobrepeso (38,3%), multíparas (73,6%), antecedente familiar de cáncer de mama (54,3%), no utilizaban anticonceptivos (67,9%), no consumo de alcohol (82,2%), no ingesta de tabaco (95,5%), cursaban el estadio II (51,9%) y clasificación histológica CDI (89,3%). Se concluyó que fue posible realizar la caracterización epidemiológica de las mujeres con cáncer de mama. The objective of the study was to determine the epidemiological characteristics of breast cancer in women treated at the “Dr. Juan Tanca Marengo”, period 2020-2022. The design was observational, descriptive, quantitative and retrospective with 337 patients, using a data collection form and statistical processing with Microsoft Excel. Among the results, it was found that they belonged to the age group of 46 to 55 years (27.9%), mestizo ethnicity (96.7%), urban residence (72.7%), secondary educational level (48.1%). , occupation housewife (40.9%), were overweight (38.3%), multiparous (73.6%), family history of breast cancer (54.3%), did not use contraceptives (67.9% ), no alcohol consumption (82.2%), no tobacco consumption (95.5%), were in stage II (51.9%) and CDI histological classification (89.3%). It was concluded that it was possible to carry out the epidemiological characterization of women with breast cancer.
