Propuesta arquitectónica de mercado de abastos bajo criterios de arquitectura ecológica para la Parroquia Carigán

Abstract

El Instituto Nacional de Estadísticas y Censo (INEC) establece que la ciudad de Loja cuenta con una población de 180 617 habitantes (INEC, 2010). Esta población es abastecida por seis mercados, los cuales se encuentran ubicados a lo largo del eje central de la ciudad. En los últimos años, ha mantenido un rápido crecimiento poblacional y espacial, dando como resultado una expansión desordenada, dificultando la provisión de infraestructura comercial y de servicios básicos, por lo que el Municipio ha redefinido y reorganizado las parroquias urbanas del cantón, estableciéndose la parroquia Carigán, conformada por seis barrios con un área de 4918,16 hectáreas y una población de 25.068 habitantes. Para el desarrollo de la investigación, se empleó el enfoque cuantitativo para la adquisición de información que permita comprender la deficiencia que tiene el sector en cuanto a equipamiento comercial y de servicios básicos, luego se desarrolla el análisis cuantitativo en la parroquia Carigán a través de instrumentos de recolección de información como la encuesta para identificar las deficiencias del actual mercado de la parroquia. Luego se efectúa el análisis del sitio, clima y contexto que permita una correcta aplicación de criterios de arquitectura ecológica en el diseño del mercado de abastos. Una vez obtenido los resultados de la investigación, se procede al diseño del mercado de abastos bajo criterios de arquitectura ecológica que permita optimizar los recursos naturales, los sistemas de la infraestructura y mejorar la calidad de confort de los ocupantes del mercado. The National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) states that the city of Loja has a population of 180,617 inhabitants (INEC, 2010). This population is supplied by six markets, which are located along the central axis of the city. In recent years, it has maintained a rapid population and spatial growth, resulting in a disorderly expansion, hindering the provision of commercial infrastructure and basic services, so the Municipality has redefined and reorganized the urban parishes of the canton, establishing the Carigán parish, consisting of six neighborhoods with an area of 4918.16 hectares and a population of 25,068 inhabitants. For the development of the research, the quantitative approach was used for the acquisition of information that allows to understand the deficiency that the sector has in terms of commercial equipment and basic services, then the quantitative analysis is developed in the Carigán parish through information collection instruments such as the survey to identify the deficiencies of the current market of the parish. Then the analysis of the site, climate and context is carried out that allows a correct application of ecological architecture criteria in the design of the food market. Once the results of the research have been obtained, we proceed to the design of the supply market under criteria of ecological architecture that allows to optimize the natural resources, the systems of the infrastructure and improve the quality of comfort of the occupants of the market.
