Diseño e implementación del centro de rescate y reintegración canina: una nueva tipología en Quito

Abstract

El proyecto para perros pretende crear un espacio de interacción activa entre el hombre y el animal y que invite al peatón a vivir una experiencia junto a los animales. Los animales deben tener los mismos derechos de reclamar la tierra en donde habitamos. Si hay más espacio para viviendas significa que la tierra no urbanizada y las áreas verdes están desapareciendo, y con ellas el hábitat de muchos animales. Para proteger especies establecidas existe el “diseño asistido por animales”. Este integra los requisitos de las especies afectadas en el proceso de planificación urbana, mejorando la calidad de las ciudades. Es por esto que uno de los propósitos fundamentales es enseñar a los humanos a convivir con los animales, específicamente los perros, siendo uno de los primeros animales en domesticar. Para la propuesta se a priorizado el proceso de vida de un can, el equipamiento cubre las bases de cada una de sus etapas; nacer, crecer y morir. Se debe recalcar que no se establecen estas áreas para que el animal pase toda su vida dentro del equipamiento, más bien pretende reintegrar a los animales a la sociedad y por medio de estos, mantener a aquellos que se encuentren en procesos de adopción y entrenamientos con las áreas de comercio, educación y salud. The project for dogs aims to create a space for active interaction between man and animal and to invite pedestrians to live an experience together with animals. Animals must have the same rights to claim the land where we live. If there is more space for housing means that undeveloped land and green areas are disappearing, and with them the habitat of many animals. To protect established species there is “animal assisted design”. This integrates the requirements of the affected species in the urban planning process, improving the quality of the inhabitants of the cities. This is why one of the fundamental purposes is to teach humans to live with animals, specifically dogs, being one of the first animals to domesticate. For the proposal, the life process of a dog has been respected, the equipment covers the bases of each of its stages; born, grow and die. It should be emphasized that these areas are not established so that the animal spends its entire life inside the equipment, rather it intends to reintegrate the animals into society and through these, maintain those that are in adoption processes and training with the areas of commerce, education and health.
