| Abstract: | Para las pequeñas y medianas empresas, Pymes, nacidas en Latinoamérica, internacionalizarse puede representar dificultades. A fin de crear un aporte a la literatura existente sobre el tema y una base para la generación de nuevos conocimientos, se realizó una revisión sistemática sobre estas dificultades. A partir de las bases de datos: Scopus, Scielo, Elsevier y Redalyc se logró obtener 880 resultados, correspondientes al periodo comprendido entre los años 2000 y 2021, con excepciones puntuales. Estos resultados se filtraron para obtener una lista final de 67 fuentes, cuyo contenido contribuyó a la comprensión de la temática planteada. Determinando así, que, las principales dificultades con las que se pueden encontrar estas Pymes nacidas en países de América Latina y el Caribe son; financiamiento poco disponible; un marco jurídico mal regulado e instituciones poco estables, lo que genera inseguridad para los inversionistas potenciales; innovación insuficiente, resistencia a la transformación y poco conocimiento sobre el mercado; y escaso acceso a personal debidamente cualificado. |
| Description: | For small and medium enterprises (SMEs) born in Latin America, internationalization can represent difficulties. In order to create a contribution to the existing literature on the subject and a basis for the generation of new knowledge, a systematic review of these difficulties was carried out. From the databases: Scopus, Scielo, Elsevier and Redalyc, it was possible to obtain 880 results, corresponding to the period between 2000 and 2021, with specific exceptions. These results were filtered to obtain a final list of 67 sources whose content contributed to the understanding of the proposed topic. Thus determining that the main difficulties that these SMEs born in Latin American and Caribbean countries may encounter are; little financing availability; a poorly regulated legal framework and unstable institutions, which creates in security for potential investors; insufficient innovation, resistance to transformation and little knowledge about the market; as well as, limited access to duly qualified personnel. |
