Abstract: El presente trabajo investigativo se realizó en el Centro de Salud Tipo B Salcedo, de la provincia de Cotopaxi, bajo la temática Relación entre el Síndrome de Burnout y el clima laboral en profesionales de la salud. El objetivo general del estudio fue identificar el síndrome de Burnout en profesionales de la Salud y cómo se comporta en tiempos de pandemia Covid-19. La metodología aplicada se basó en el enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal. El estudio se centró en 41 profesionales de la salud que laboran en el centro de salud. Para recoger información, se aplicaron dos instrumentos; el test Inventario de Burnout de Maslach (MBI), el cual está estructurado con 22 ítems; y un test para medir el clima laboral por medio de un cuestionario de 20 preguntas con escala de Likert. En las características sociodemográficos prevaleció al grupo de edad entre 36 -45 años con un 43.9%, en el sexo con un 70.7% femeninos, estado civil con un 48.8% son casados, número de hijos en un 53.7% tienen 2 hijos, en la antigüedad de trabajo con un 92.7% trabajan de 3 años y más, un 92.7% trabaja 8 horas diarias, el nivel de estudio con un 43.9 por ciento están dentro del nivel universitario, en cuanto a ingresos económicos en un 31.7% perciben más de 1200.000 dólares, en el tamaño familiar en un 41.5% tienen 4 miembros familiares a cargo, tipo de vinculación con un 53.7% tienen nombramiento definitivo. En cuanto al clima laboral 17 de los 20 ítems investigados fueron contestados con Casi Siempre o Siempre. Las principales conclusiones fueron: nivel medio de cansancio emocional en los empleados, un alto nivel de despersonalización pues los trabajadores presentaron una descompensación en su salud en tiempos de pandemia; en cuanto a la realización personal presentó un nivel bajo y con indicios de síndrome de Burnout. Se recomendó tomar acciones para mejorar el clima laboral y así prevenir al personal de salud del síndrome de Burnout, ya que esto acarrea deficiencias en su desempeño tanto profesional como personal. The present investigative work was carried out at the Type B Salcedo Health Car Center, the province of Cotopaxi, under the theme Relationship between Burnout Syndrome and the work environment in health professionals. The general objective of the study was to identify Burnout syndrome in Health professionals and how it behaves in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. The applied methodology was based on the qualitative and quantitative approach, descriptive, cross-sectional. The study focused on 41 health professionals who work in the health center. To collect information, two instruments were applied; the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) test, which is structured with 22 items; and, a test to measure the work environment through a questionnaire of 20 questions with a Likert scale. In the sociodemographic characteristics, the age group between 36 -45 years prevailed with 43.9%, in sex with 70.7% female, marital status with 48.8% are married, number of children in 53.7% have 2 children, in the seniority of work with 92.7% work for 3 years and more, 92.7% work 8 hours a day, the level of study with 43.9 percent are within the university level, in terms of economic income in 31.7% they receive more than 1200,000 dollars, in family size 41.5% have 4 dependent family members, type of relationship with 53.7% have a definitive appointment. Regarding the work environment, 17 of the 20 items investigated were answered with Almost Always or Always. The main conclusions were: average level of emotional exhaustion in the employees, a high level of depersonalization since the workers presented a decompensation in their health in times of pandemic; Regarding personal fulfillment, it presented a low level and with signs of Burnout syndrome. It was recommended to take actions to improve the work environment and thus prevent health personnel from Burnout syndrome, since this leads to deficiencies in their professional and personal performance.
