Acupuntura Biofílica de los vacíos urbanos de Quitumbe

Abstract

El proyecto de tesis” Acupuntura Biofílica: Centro cultural en las quebradas de Quitumbe” busca mejorar la relación entre el tejido urbano de este barrio emblemático del sur de Quito con la quebrada que lo rodea. En la actualidad muchas de las quebradas se han convertido en espacios residuales o barreras físicas dentro de la ciudad y no son apreciadas por su valor medioambiental. De igual manera, las quebradas representan una parte importante de la identidad paisajística de Quito y de Quitumbe en particular. A través de un análisis urbano, de usuario y un marco teórico se explora el vínculo entre la naturaleza y lo construido. La tesis plantea tejer la ciudad mediante intervenciones próximas a las quebradas. Se aplica el concepto de acupuntura urbana, que se refiere a curar puntos urbanos enfermos para mejorar a un sistema en general y se incorpora a esto el concepto de biofilia, que se refiere a construir espacios sostenibles sin afectar negativamente a la naturaleza, más bien complementándola, introduciéndola e incluyéndola en las intervenciones. Analizando las características físicas fluidas y orgánicas de las quebradas, el proyecto también responde a una armonía morfológica y estética. Mediante la abstracción y deconstrucción morfológica de las quebradas se llegó a formas que las complementen de manera reinterpretada y armónica. Por otro lado, el programa del proyecto busca fortalecer la identidad barrial mediante equipamientos barriales y comunitarios. The thesis project "Biophilic Acupuncture: Cultural Center in the Quebradas de Quitumbe" seeks to improve the relationship between the urban fabric of this emblematic neighborhood in the south of Quito with the ravine that surrounds it. Similarly, the ravines represent an important part of the landscape identity of Quito and of Quitumbe in particular. Through an urban and user analysis and a theoretical framework, the link between nature and what is built is explored. The thesis proposes to weave the city by breakdown close to the ravines. The concept of urban acupuncture is applied, which refers to curing sick urban spots to improve a system in general, and the concept of biophilia is incorporated into this, which refers to building sustainable spaces without negatively affecting nature, rather complementing it , introducing it and including it in crises. Analyzing the fluid and organic physical characteristics of the streams, the project also responds to a morphological and aesthetic harmony. Through the abstraction and morphological deconstruction of the ravines, forms were reached that complement them in a reinterpreted and harmonic way. On the other hand, the project program seeks to strengthen neighborhood identity through neighborhood and community facilities.
