The present degree work consists of carrying out the preliminary design project of the Bamboo Land Terminal for the canton of Palanda, which was born from the need of the inhabitants to have a facility that provides land transport services safely, in order to organise and establish a strategic point of departure and arrival of buses, which currently generate vehicular conflict, insecurity, environmental and auditory pollution, informal commerce and insecurity in the centre of the canton. Due to these events, there is a need to design a bus terminal that meets the current needs. In order to generate the proposal, a quantitative methodology is proposed, which is structured in three phases: The first phase is a theoretical framework, which is a bibliographic research on transport issues, land terminals, sustainable architecture and qualities of bamboo construction material, which determine this type of project; In the second phase a reference framework, which determines the reference cases to study, which help to have a better vision to employ strategies and guidelines for an architectural design and planning and the third phase is a diagnosis of the place where the equipment will be implemented, all these research factors result in a planning and architectural design that provide a solution to the needs of users and conflicts in the centre of the canton. The result of the proposal is to provide an adequate and quality space for the users of the Land Terminal.
