Abstract: La presente publicación pretende conocer la incidencia de las campañas en la manipulación y uso de los explosivos artesanales tipo pirotecnia en fin de año en la calle 119 del barrio el Paraíso, parroquia los Esteros del cantón Manta Ecuador como medida preventiva. El análisis se complementó con información comprendida en el año 2019 y 2020 en instituciones que poseen competencia directa en el control de esta clase de material, así como en instituciones que atienden afectaciones causadas por pirotecnia. La metodología aplicada se la realizó en el campo de estudio, consistió en una encuesta que se ejecutó de modo virtual y física, de acuerdo a la información obtenida la mayor parte de la población encuestadas 91% de los encuestados conocen que son los explosivos tipo pirotecnia, el 56 % conocen que forman parte tradicional de las festividades de navidad y fin de año, el 79% indican que no presentaron ningún daño físico o a la salud por causa de pirotecnia, por esta razón el 81% de los moradores del barrio prefieren denunciar cuando se observa algún procedimiento ilegal, de esta manera tratan de conservar las festividades y evitar accidentes o eventos adversos por mal uso de los explosivos tipo pirotecnia. En base a los resultados se concluye que la calle 111, en el periodo 2019-2020 no presento ningún registro en el ECU 911 de accidentes o muerte provocada por el uso inadecuado de los explosivos tipo pirotecnia, es notorio que las campañas que se ha venido desarrollando han tenido alta efectividad. The present publication aims to know the incidence of campaigns on the handling and use of handmade explosives such as pyrotechnics on New Year's Eve in 119th Street, El Paraíso neighborhood, Los Esteros parish, Manta Ecuador canton, as a preventive measure. The analysis was complemented with information from the year 2019 and 2020 in institutions that have direct competence in the control of this kind of material, as well as in institutions that attend to the effects caused by pyrotechnics. The methodology applied in the field of study consisted of a survey that was carried out virtually and physically, according to the information obtained most of the population surveyed 91% of the respondents know what pyrotechnics explosives are, 56% know that they are a traditional part of the Christmas and New Year's Eve festivities, 79% indicate that they did not present any fireworks, 79% indicate that they did not present any fireworks, and 79% indicate that they did not present any fireworks, 79% indicate that they did not present any physical or health damage due to pyrotechnics, for this reason 81% of the inhabitants of the neighborhood prefer to denounce when they observe any illegal procedure, in this way they try to preserve the festivities and avoid accidents or adverse events due to misuse of pyrotechnics explosives. Based on the results it is concluded that 111th Street, in the period 2019-2020 did not present any record in the ECU 911 of accidents or death caused by the improper use of explosives type pyrotechnics, it is notorious that the campaigns that have been developing have been highly effective.
