Rediseño de los espacios exteriores del campus escolar de la unidad educativa “LAURO DAMERVAL AYORA” de la ciudad de Loja

Abstract

El espacio exterior educativo sigue siendo parte funamental de los planes de gobierno de algunos países europeos, sin embargo, dentro de las normativas de la infraestructura educativa del Ecuador, se les da poca importancia al momento de ser diseñados, debido a que se da más prioridad al aula y no toman en cuenta que el espacio exterior es un lugar facilitador del desarrollo físico y educativo del estudiante. Es así que varios estudios han demostrado que los estudiantes aprenden mejor y aumentan los niveles de actividad física cuando tienen experiencias y opotunidaes que se dan en el espacio exterior educativo. En vista de ello, y ante la falta de interés que se les da a los espacios exteriores en nuestro medio local, se llevó a cabo el presente proyecto. Mediante una metodología de observación SOPLAY, se realizó un rediseño de los espacios exteriores del campus escolar de la Unidad Educativa “Lauro Damerval Ayora”, para conocer los comportamientos de los estudiantes en las diferentes áreas identificadas. Por tal motivo se plantearon diferentes estrategias de diseño que puedan facilitar la transformación del espacio exterior y permitan cumplir conceptos de pedagogía, donde los alumnos vean al espacio como un medio de aprendizaje, que promueva el descubrimiento, exploración, curiosidad, interacción, socialización con los entornos y personas que los rodean, que sean acordes para los estudiantes de las diferentes edades y enriquezcan los procesos de aprendizaje y fomenten la actividad física.The educational exterior space continues to be a fundamental part of the government plans of some European countries, however, within the regulations of the educational infrastructure of Ecuador, they are given little importance at the time of being designed, because more priority is given to the classroom and do not take into account that the outer space is a facilitating place of the physical and educational development of the student. Thus, several studies have shown that students learn better and increase levels of physical activity when they have experiences and opportunities that occur in the educational outer space. In view of this, and given the lack of interest that is given to outdoor spaces in our local environment, this project was carried out. Using a SOPLAY observation methodology, a redesign of the exterior spaces of the school campus of the “Lauro Damerval Ayora” Educational Unit was carried out, to know the behavior of the students in the different areas identified. For this reason, different design strategies were proposed that can facilitate the transformation of outer space and allow to fulfill pedagogical concepts, where students see space as a means of learning, which promotes discovery, exploration, curiosity, interaction, socialization with the environments and people around them, which are suitable for students of different ages and enrich the learning processes and encourage physical activity.
