Abstract

Resumen Ejecutivo El presente estudio se realiza con el objetivo de establecer la relación existente entre la falta de un plan de negocios y la sostenibilidad de organizaciones no financieras pertenecientes al sector económico popular y solidario, el estudio se delimita a las organizaciones que desarrollan sus actividades dentro de la ciudad de Cuenca. Se realizó un análisis documental en base a estudios previos sobre el sector popular y solidario y emprendimientos, tanto en América Latina como en el Ecuador, posteriormente, se realizó un estudio de casos bajo un enfoque cualitativo de investigación, permitiendo un acercamiento del investigador a la realidad de las organizaciones, el análisis de datos se realiza a través de una matriz de categorías y códigos, que permite conocer a fondo las relaciones existentes entre los entrevistados. Los resultados de la investigación, muestran una relación clara entre la existencia o no de un plan de negocios y la sostenibilidad de las organizaciones, la mayoría de organizaciones no cuenta con un plan de negocios, sin embargo en el transcurso de su vida, han desarrollado estudios financieros que les permiten conocer de manera general su rentabilidad futura y establecer estrategias y planes de acción en base a dichos resultados, sin embargo, un análisis financiero no es suficiente para determinar el futuro de una empresa. En base a los resultados se concluye que las organizaciones no desarrollan un plan de negocios antes de la puesta en marcha, cuentan con apoyo de instituciones externas, que les permite mantenerse con vida durante cierto tiempo, sin embargo, presentan varios problemas internos que atentan contra su sostenibilidad en el tiempo. Abstract This research has the objective of establishing the relationship between the lack of a business plan and the sustainability of non-financial organizations belonging to the popular and solidarity economic sector, the research is limited to the organizations that develop their activities within the Cuenca city. A documentary analysis was carried out based on previous studies on the popular and solidarity sector and entrepreneurship, both in Latin America and Ecuador, then a case study was carried out under a qualitative research approach, allowing the researcher to approach the reality of the organizations, the data analysis is carried out through a matrix of categories and codes, which allows to know in depth the existing relationships between the interviewees. The results of the research show a clear relationship between the existence or not of a business plan and the sustainability of organizations, most organizations do not have a business plan, however, in the course of their lives, they have developed Financial studies that allow to know in a general way its future profitability and to establish strategies and action plans based on these results, however, a financial analysis is not enough to determine the future of a company. Based on the results, it is concluded that the organizations do not develop a business plan before starting up, they have the support of external institutions, which allow them to stay alive for a certain time, however, they present several internal problems that threaten its sustainability over time.
