At present, the automotive industry is dependent on the after sales of the vehicle, this refers to: sale of spare parts, maintenance agreements, where oil changes are included. The oils usually have a useful life dictated by the manufacturer and in some cases, when used in certain brands, they must be certified by the same for which it is selected. Depending on the use of the vehicle, the height at which it works, the climatic conditions to which it is exposed, these factors can reduce the useful life of the oil. With the help of the inductive method, conclusions will be obtained that explain or relate these phenomena, they will be studied with 3 tools: observation of the phenomena, experience, and the study of the relationship between them. This article performs a comparative study with two oils, where tests with Euro 3 heavy-duty vehicles with a 460 HP DC13 106 engine are analyzed to see, according to different routes and altitudes, the creation of sulfuric acid. It will be understood through tests and obtaining a record delimited by distance traveled on each selected route. The data recorded in the laboratory tests demonstrates the difference in acid creation. The results obtained demarcate a great difference between the routes of the coast and the mountains, with the coast being the route where there is more incidence of sulfuric acid creation, and the east as the route where less sulfuric acid tends to be created.
