| Abstract: | El turismo comunitario en el Ecuador es un modelo degestión reconocido y regulado legalmente. Estas regulaciones también establecen las actividades y el tipo de capacitación con las que deben contar las comunidades indígenas o rurales que han tenido la iniciativa por emprender en este sector para garantizar la calidad de los servicios turísticos ofertados.El requisito de capacitación y formación se vuelve problemático para los miembros de los emprendimientos comunitarios por diferentes razones, por ejemplo: capacitadores con conocimientos limitados de la comunidad, capacitadores que no poseen las herramientas pedagógicas y metodológicas necesarias para motivar una participación activa de las personas asistentes a las capacitaciones y contenidos de aprendizaje que sean pertinentes con el contexto de la comunidad. La presente investigación tiene por objetivo proponer un modelo de capacitación para los emprendimientos de turismo comunitario que en base a un fundamento pedagógico responda a las necesidades y contextos individuales de las comunidades participantes. Para realizar este estudio cualitativo se utilizó la metodología de estudio de caso ypara la recolección de datos se realizaron entrevistas a profundidad, análisis de documentos y grupos de discusión focal. |
| Description: | In Ecuador, the community-based tourism is legally acknowledged and regulated by the government. These regulations include the type of activities and the type of training that the indigenous and rural communities which offer this service need to have. The requirement of training has become problematic for the members of the communities that offer this type of tourism due to different reasons, for instance: trainers with limited knowledge of the community, trainers who do not have enough knowledge of pedagogy and methodology to promote an active participation of the members of the community they train, and contents that are not pertinent to the community. The objective of this study is to present a training model for the community tourism projects which based on a pedagogical model responds to the needs and individual contexts of the participant communities. The methodology used for this qualitative research was a case study. For the data collection, in-depth interviews, document analysis and focus group discussions were used. |
