Diseño arquitectónico de un centro cultural para la ciudad de Catacocha, cantón Paltas, provincia de Loja

Abstract

El equipamiento cultural es el espacio arquitectónico donde las interpretaciones identificadas de una población son valoradas, representadas y latentes a las generaciones del futuro con la intención de mantener viva la memoria y un conocimiento ancestral para la historia. Para el desarrollo del Centro Cultural en la ciudad de Catacocha; se realizó una investigación en varios enfoques. El primero estuvo determinado por lo que es la Cultura Paltense, historia, tradiciones, costumbres, patrimonio, población, etc. Y el segundo fue tomado de un análisis urbano arquitectónico, donde analiza su malla urbana, estructura y homogeneidad en sus fachadas, lo cual dio como resultado plasmar una composición definida en base a todo el contexto del proyecto. Adicional a esto, se considera que la tecnología en la arquitectura es una clara visión de un desarrollo urbano y social, por ello incorpora tecnología en materia de eficiencia energética (paneles fotovoltaicos), aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales (sol, aire, lluvia y niebla), jardines verticales (muros verdes) y domótica (iluminación, climatización, riego, etc.).

Cultural infrastructure is a space where the identity interpretations of an ancient population are kept and valued, represented and kept alive along with the collective memory of these ancestral cultures, for future generations. To achieve the design of the Cultural Centre in the city of Catacocha, the author did an investigation from multiple points of view. First of all, an approach to the Palta ancient culture, its history, traditions, population and cultural heritage. On the other hand, an architectonic and urbanistic analysis was carried out, where the urban surroundings were taken into account: the city grid, the structure and style of the façades of the existing buildings (many of which are included in the National architectural patrimony registry of Ecuador). All of this resulted in creating a composition defined by the strong influence of the style of the houses in Catacocha. Among all these, the author considered the important role played by modern architectural ideas and theories as essential tools for urban and social development, that’s why energy efficiency (photovoltaic solar panels) and correct usage of natural resources (sunrays, rain water, natural wind flows) principles are implemented, combined with vertical gardens and domotic appliances (climatization and irrigation).
