Abstract

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el comportamiento sísmico de una vivienda unifamiliar patrimonial de tipo muros portantes ubicada en el Centro Histórico de Quito, específicamente entre las calles Eugenio Espejo y Almeida. Estas edificaciones, construidas sin normativas sísmicas modernas y con materiales tradicionales deteriorados por el paso del tiempo, presentan una alta vulnerabilidad ante eventos sísmicos. En un contexto donde Quito se ubica en una zona de alta actividad tectónica, comprender la respuesta estructural de este tipo de edificaciones se vuelve fundamental para garantizar su preservación y la seguridad de sus ocupantes...The objective of this study is to analyze the seismic behavior of a heritage-listed single family load-bearing-wall house located in the Historic Center of Quito, specifically between Eugenio Espejo and Almeida streets.
