Corredor Troncal de Transporte Público Inteligente en Ibarra: Diseño de Nodos Intermodales bajo Criterios de Movilidad Sostenible

Abstract

El presente trabajo refiere a la problemática de movilidad urbana en la ciudad de Ibarra, donde el transporte público ha sido por mucho tiempo un servicio ineficiente que ha generado inequidad espacial, así este trabajo pretende estructurar un sistema integrado de transporte, llamado “Omnivía Ibarra”, el cual se conformará de un corredor troncal que incluya todos los principios de una Smart City. La metodología usada para esto refiere a un enfoque mixto cuali-cuantitativo, con un estudio que abarca un análisis documental de información oficial disponible, así como una encuesta intencional que revela la realidad del uso del transporte público en la ciudad, donde es clara la penalización espacial de ciertos sectores de la ciudad, una alta demanda del servicio y un gran apoyo a la modernización y cambio del actual sistema por uno más inteligente y eficiente...This paper addresses the problem of urban mobility in the city of Ibarra, where public transportation has long been an inefficient service that has generated spatial inequality. This work aims to structure an integrated transportation system, called “Omnivía Ibarra,” which will consist of a main corridor incorporating all the principles of a Smart City. The methodology used employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research. The study includes a documentary analysis of available official information, as well as a purposive survey that reveals the reality of public transportation use in the city. The survey clearly demonstrates the spatial disadvantage of certain sectors of the city, high demand for the service, and strong support for modernizing and replacing the current system with a smarter and more efficient one...
