Centro de desarrollo Infantil para la primera infancia en la parroquia de Cumbayá

Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de carrera presenta el diseño arquitectónico de un Centro de Desarrollo Infantil (CDI) para laprimera infancia en la parroquia de Cumbayá, Quito. El proyecto responde a la carencia de cobertura de estoscentros en los valles del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito, evidenciada por datos del Ministerio de InclusiónEconómica y Social (MIES). La Administración Zonal de Tumbaco, a la que pertenece Cumbayá, es el área con elmenor número de CDI en el distrito, contando con solo 11 de un total de 215 en la capital.La propuesta se justifica en la necesidad de atender a la población infantil de 0 a 4 años en la provincia dePichincha, que asciende a 184,640 niños, representando un 5.98% de la población total de la provincia. El objetivoes desarrollar una infraestructura que ofrezca servicios de cuidado y estimulación temprana , abordando ladistribución heterogénea de los servicios existentes y la demanda en un sector con escasa oferta. This final degree project presents the architectural design of an Early Childhood Development Center (CDI) forearly childhood in the parish of Cumbayá, Quito. The project responds to the lack of coverage of these centers inthe valleys of the Quito Metropolitan District, as evidenced by data from the Ministry of Economic and SocialInclusion (MIES). The Zonal Administration of Tumbaco, to which Cumbayá belongs, is the area with the lowestnumber of CDIs in the district, counting only 11 out of a total of 215 in the capital.The proposal is justified by the need to serve the child population from 0 to 4 years old in the province ofPichincha, which amounts to 184,640 children, representing 5.98% of the province's total population. The objectiveis to develop an infrastructure that offers care and early stimulation services, addressing the heterogeneousdistribution of existing services and the demand in a sector with scarce provision.
