Espacios de Apoyo para primera infancia en el Mercado Mayorista

Abstract

Support spaces for early childhood in the context of the Mercado Mayorista must provide safe, accessible, and adequate environments for children’s holistic development. Currently, the socioeconomic and urban challenges of the area hinder child safety and limit access to appropriate infrastructure. To address this situation, a master plan is proposed to reorganize the market environment, integrating a child support center and urban spaces designed under sustainability principles and child protection regulations.The project is based on a comprehensive diagnosis that identifies risk conditions and exclusion factors affecting early childhood in this setting, establishing architectural and urban strategies that promote safety, accessibility, and child well-being. The proposal includes sustainable design solutions, incorporating efficient materials, natural lighting strategies, passive ventilation, and flexible spaces that adapt to the needs of children and the community. Los espacios de apoyo para la primera infancia en el contexto del Mercado Mayorista deben garantizar entornos seguros, accesibles y adecuados para el desarrollo integral de niñas y niños. Actualmente, las problemáticas socioeconómicas y urbanísticas del sector dificultan la seguridad infantil y limitan el acceso a infraestructuras apropiadas. Para abordar esta situación, se propone un plan maestro que reorganice el entorno del mercado, incorporando un centro de apoyo infantil y espacios urbanos diseñados bajo criterios de sostenibilidad y normativas de protección infantil.El proyecto se fundamenta en un diagnóstico integral que identifica las condiciones de riesgo y exclusión que afectan a la primera infancia en este contexto, estableciendo estrategias arquitectónicas y urbanísticas que fomenten la seguridad, la accesibilidad y el bienestar infantil.
