Intervención Arquitectónica de la Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Fray Carlos Uria de la Parroquia San Antonio del Cantón Centinela del Condor

Abstract

Esta investigación presenta una propuesta de intervención arquitectónica en la Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Fray Carlos Uría, ubicada en la parroquia San Antonio del cantón Centinela del Cóndor. Este estudio nace como respuesta al deterioro estructural y a la falta de espacios adecuados que afectan la calidad educativa, teniendo en cuenta el crecimiento de la población y la necesidad de crear ambientes apropiados. El objetivo es mejorar la funcionalidad y el confort térmico a través de estrategias bioclimáticas pásivas que se adapten al clima cálido-húmedo. Además, buscamos garantizar la accesibilidad y cumplir con las normativas nacionales e internacionales. Para lograr esto, se llevó a cabo un diagnóstico integral del sitio y se estudiarón ejemplos arquitectónicos que ofrecen soluciones en áreas como ventilación natural, protección solar, vegetación y selección de materiales. La propuesta presenta un proyecto arquitectónico integral que mejora los espacios educativos y recreativos, realiza la imagen urbana de la institución y apoya el desarrollo académico y social de la comunidad. This research presents a proposal for an architectural intervention at the Fiscomisional Educational Unit Fray Carlos Uría, located in the parish of San Antonio, Centinela del Cóndor canton. The study arises as a response to the structural deterioration and lack of adequate spaces that affect educational quality, considering population growth and the need to create appropriate learning environments. The objective is to improve functionality and thermal comfort through bioclimatic strategies adapted to the warm-humid climate. Furthermore, the project seeks to guarantee accessibility and comply with both national and international regulations. To achieve this, a comprehensive site diagnosis was carried out, and architectural case studies were analyzed that provide solutions in areas such as natural ventilation, solar protection, vegetation, and material selection. The proposal presents an integral architectural project that enhances educational and recreational spaces, renews the institution’s urban image, and supports the academic and social development of the community.
