Análisis de Variables de Depreciación de Vehículos en el Mercado Ecuatoriano

Abstract

Este estudio analiza las variables que influyen en la depreciación de vehículos de segunda mano en el mercado ecuatoriano mediante un modelo de regresión lineal múltiple aplicado a una muestra de 500 vehículos recopilados entre enero y febrero de 2025 desde plataformas digitales especializadas. El modelo desarrollado obtuvo un R-cuadrado ajustado de 0.5082 y un error estándar de 0.08882, identificando variables estadísticamente significativas (p<0.05). Los resultados muestran que el año de fabricación es la variable más influyente con un coeficiente negativo (β=-0.0222), indicando que cada año adicional de antigüedad incrementa la depreciación entre 3% y 5%. El kilometraje presenta una relación positiva moderada (β=+0.000000893), mientras que el cilindraje muestra una relación negativa (β=-0.0000329), sugiriendo que vehículos de mayor cilindrada retienen mejor su valor porcentual...This study analyzes the variables influencing the depreciation of used vehicles in the Ecuadorian market.
