Barreras de acceso a los servicios de salud del Hospital del IESS Quito Sur, junio a octubre de 2024

Abstract

El objetivo principal de esta investigación, fue analizar las barreras de acceso a los servicios de salud que enfrentan los usuarios de medicina interna del Hospital del IESS Quito Sur durante el período de junio a octubre de 2024. En un contexto donde la salud es un derecho fundamental, es crucial entender las dificultades que experimentan los pacientes para recibir atención médica oportuna. La investigación emplea un enfoque cuantitativo, cualitativo y descriptivo, mediante encuestas a usuarios del hospital, con el propósito de identificar las principales barreras que afectan la accesibilidad y proponer recomendaciones que contribuyan a mejorar la calidad del servicio de salud. La investigación se llevó a cabo mediante la recolección de datos a través de una encuesta estructurada dirigida a una muestra representativa de pacientes del Hospital del IESS Quito Sur de medicina interna. Los encuestados fueron seleccionados, lo que permitió obtener una visión integral de las barreras de acceso que afectan a los usuarios en diferentes aspectos de atención. La encuesta abarcó temas relacionados con aspectos económicos, geográficos, de acceso y que influyen en el acceso de los pacientes a los servicios de salud. The main objective of this research was to analyze the access barriers to health services faced by internal medicine users of the IESS Quito Sur Hospital during the period from June to October 2024. In a context where health is a fundamental right, it is crucial to understand the difficulties that patients experience in receiving timely medical care. The research uses a quantitative, qualitative and descriptive approach, through surveys of hospital users, with the purpose of identifying the main barriers that affect accessibility and proposing recommendations that contribute to improving the quality of the health service.The research was carried out by collecting data through a structured survey aimed at a representative sample of internal medicine patients of the IESS Quito Sur Hospital. Respondents were selected, which allowed obtaining a comprehensive view of the access barriers that affect users in different aspects of care.The survey covered topics related to economic, geographic, access aspects and that influence patient access to health services.
