When changes of an already established way of production of a country, are made; there is also the necessity to change the way society thinks and acts. No matter how small those changes might be, we will always have even a small group of society left behind. 6 And here is where the government will intervene, trying to neutralize those who raise their voices in protest of this new economical format. The best way to do so is to penalize whatever conducts goes against the new project. Ecuador’s reality is a clear example of this; we can see the real intention behind every single bill that is approved at the Congress. A Congress which lacks of independency, controlled only by one line of thought, and where any idea, different of those who ruled it, is ridiculed, diminished and not taken seriously. All like an inquisitor government that has not existed for hundreds of years. |
