Perspectiva de la integración Latinoamericana: Convergencia de la UNASUR y Alianza del Pacífico

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación aborda el tema de la integración regional en América Latina con miras hacia una posible convergencia de la Alianza del Pacífico (AP) y la Unión de Naciones Sudamericanas (UNASUR). Se ha tomado en cuenta al nuevo regionalismo como una fuerza propulsora de la integración regional, pues dado el panorama internacional actual y las proyecciones futuras, es indispensable que América Latina, como región, haga frente a los desafíos de manera conjunta. Se describirá el contexto histórico en el que surgen estas organizaciones, para posteriormente analizar las relaciones comerciales de bienes internas de AP y UNASUR; y entre los miembros estas dos organizaciones. Finalmente, se establecerá una agenda de trabajo en conjunto para fomentar una integración formal en la región y alcanzar el desarrollo y progreso colectivo.

This research addresses the issue of regional integration in Latin America towards a possible convergence of the Pacific Alliance (AP, Spanish acronym) and the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR, Spanish acronym). For the purpose of the research, the new regionalism is considered as the driving force for regional integration. Given the current international scenario and future projections, it is essential that Latin America, as a region, faces challenges together. The investigation begins describing the historical context in which these organizations were created. Later, it analyzes the trade relations of domestic goods inside AP and UNASUR, and between the members of these organizations. Finally, a common working agenda is proposed in order to promote further integration in the region and achieve collective development and progress.
