Intervención arquitectónica del Colegio de Bachillerato “Remigio Geo Gómez Guerrero” del Cantón Huaquillas

Abstract

El trabajo investigativo plantea una propuesta de diseño para el Colegio Remigio Geo Gómez Guerrero, localizado en el barrio Ecuador del cantón Huaquillas. Fundado en 1976 y, después de 47 años de existencia, se ha evidenciado que su infraestructura está deteriorada y presenta problemas tanto estructurales como funcionales. Como resultado, el programa educativo actual no cumple con las normas establecidas por el Ministerio de Educación. Es por ello, que este planteamiento busca atender las necesidades de los estudiantes en términos de mejorar la calidad de educación, al mismo tiempo que se asegura el cumplimiento de los estándares establecidos en el reglamento de regulación.La propuesta se enfoca en transformar el colegio en una institución innovadora con relevancia en el uso de principios de arquitectura bioclimática por medio de estrategias pasivas. Esto permitirá crear ambientes propicios para mejorar el rendimiento de los estudiantes a través del confort de los usuarios dentro del entorno físico.Finalmente, se optará por implementar el concepto de escuela abierta, eliminando las barreras arquitectónicas para generar áreas versátiles que revitalicen la zona y promuevan la cohesión social. Para lograrlo, se aprovechará el área subutilizada del colegio mediante la integración de un espacio público que conecte la institución con su entorno. Esta iniciativa garantizará linteracción social entre la comunidad y los estudiantes de Educación General Básica (EGB) y Bachillerato, tanto en la jornada matutina como vespertin. The research work proposes a design proposal for the Remigio Geo Gómez Guerrero School, located in the Ecuador neighborhood of the Huaquillas canton. Founded in 1976, and after 47 years of existence, it has become evident that its infrastructure is deteriorated and presents structural and functional problems. As a result, the current educational program does not meet the standards established by the Ministry of Education. Therefore, this approach seeks to address the needs of the students in terms of improving the quality of education, while ensuring compliance with the standards established in the regulation.The proposal focuses on transforming the school into an innovative institution with relevance in the use of bioclimatic architecture principles through passive strategies. This will allow the creation of environments conducive to improving student performance through user comfort within the physical environment.Finally, we will choose to implement the open school concept, eliminating architectural barriers to generate versatile areas that revitalize the area and promote social cohesion. To achieve this, the underutilized area of the school will be taken advantage of by integrating a public space that connects the institution with its surroundings. This initiative will ensure social interaction between the community and the students of General Basic Education (EGB) and High School, both in the morning and afternoon.Keywords: Transfer center, eco-sustainable, urban-architectural intervention, markets.
