Diseño arquitectónico de un velódromo para la Ciudad de Loja

Abstract

El deporte es importante en el desarrollo y crecimiento físico y mental de todas las personas, por ende, es fundamental realizar actividades físicas desde la temprana edad. Para ello es necesario contar con instalaciones normadas y técnicas que eviten lesiones en los deportistas. La ciudad de Loja no cuenta con equipamientos para ciclistas, lo cual genera inconvenientes como, el retraso en el aprendizaje de sus deportistas, el traslado a otras ciudades para hacer uso de los velódromos previo a una competencia, y el desplazamiento constante al no tener un sitio estable para entrenar. Por otro también existe un problema arquitectónico que es el abandono de las grandes infraestructuras deportivas por los altos costos de mantenimiento. La arquitectura deportiva a gran escala debe estar ligada a estrategias de permanencia, adaptabilidad y sostenibilidad para evitar su abandono o deterioro por falta deportistas o mantenimiento al edificio. Partiendo de todo esto, el presente trabajo de titulación pretende incorporar estrategias arquitectónicas, climáticas y urbanas que se enfoquen el diseño de un equipamiento duradero en el espacio y que encaje en el contexto como un eje articulador y promotor de actividades. A través de metodologías, normativas, análisis de sitio y referentes, se diseñará un Velódromo para la ciudad de Loja, ubicado en el sector de Obrapía con espacios arquitectónicos necesarios y espacios complementarios que resuelva la necesidad de un espacio físico para entrenar y la incorporación de zonas basadas en las necesidades del sector pero que a su vez permitan mantener un continuo flujo de personas, actividad que permite solventar los costos de mantenimiento del edificio. Therefore, it is necessary to have standardized and technical facilities that prevent injuries to athletes. The city of Loja does not have equipment for cyclists, which generates inconveniences such as the delay in the learning of its athletes, the transfer to other cities to make use of the velodromes before a competition, and the constant displacement due to not having a stable place to train. On the other hand, there is also an architectural problem which is the abandonment of large sports infrastructures due to high maintenance costs. Large-scale sports architecture must be linked to strategies of permanence, adaptability, and sustainability to avoid its abandonment or deterioration due to a lack of athletes or maintenance of the building. Based on all this, this degree work aims to incorporate architectural, climatic, and urban strategies that focus on the design of durable equipment in space and that fit into the context as an articulating axis and promoter of activities. Through methodologies, regulations, site analysis, and references, a Velodrome will be designed for the city of Loja, located in the Obrapía sector with necessary architectural spaces and complementary spaces that solve the need for a physical space to train and the incorporation of zones based on the needs of the sector but that in turn allow a continuous flow of people to be maintained, an activity that allows covering the maintenance costs of the building.
