Propuesta de diseño de red verde para el barrio Las Pitas II en la ciudad de Loja

Abstract

En los últimos años la ciudad de Loja ha presenciado un incremento del sector inmobiliario, que afecta directamente a áreas verdes y recreativas que se deberían proyectar conforme la construcción avanza, esto pasa principalmente en las periferias y zonas con mayor potencial de comercio y conexión hacia y fuera del centro histórico. Por ello la presente investigación se compone de una serie de estrategias urbanas que permiten reactivar y articular el barrio con zonas de recreación. Con el análisis de sitio, se destacan varios conflictos, relacionados a la falta de espacios públicos, principalmente por el protagonismo que tiene el vehículo en comparación al peatón; por otro lado, no se dan mantenimiento ni se generan zonas adecuados para que las personas se apropien del lugar y se genere interacción social que a su vez evolucione en la cohesión del barrio. En base a esto se presenta el diseño de la red verde urbana para Las Pitas II, con el objetivo de generar espacios dinámicos caracterizados por recreación activa, pasiva, comunitaria, mixta y áreas verdes. Dicha red se conecta con recorridos a pie y ciclovía, dispuestos en las zonas con la menor pendiente debido a que el mayor porcentaje de área barrial ya ha sido consolidado por vivienda y comercio. In recent years, the city of Loja has witnessed an increase in the real estate sector, which directly affects green and recreational areas that should be projected as construction progresses, this happens mainly in the peripheries and areas with greater potential for trade and connection to and outside the historic center. For this reason, the present research is composed of a series of urban strategies that allow reactivating and articulating the neighborhood with recreational areas. With the site analysis, several conflicts stand out, related to the lack of public spaces, mainly due to the prominence of the vehicle in comparison to the pedestrian; on the other hand, there is no maintenance or adequate areas for people to appropriate the place and generate social interaction that in turn evolves in the cohesion of the neighborhood. Based on this, the design of the urban green grid for Las Pitas II is presented, with the objective of generating dynamic spaces characterized by active, passive, community, mixed recreation and green areas. This network is connected with walking trails and bicycle paths, arranged in the areas with the lowest slope because the largest percentage of the neighborhood area has already been consolidated by housing and commerce.
