Diseño de museo de arte contemporáneo para la ciudad de Loja

Abstract

La ciudad de Loja ha destacado alrededor de la historia por los logros culturales de distinta índole, dándole un nombramiento relevante y decretada en la Constitución del Ecuador, como “Capital Cultural del Ecuador”. El presente trabajo de investigación plantea la intervención de un equipamiento de gran magnitud, como es un museo, específicamente de arte contemporáneo, el cual se integre en el contexto natural y urbano. El desarrollo del proyecto se realiza en tres fases: una fase de investigación bibliográfica, la segunda de selección y análisis del sitio para la implantación de un museo de arte contemporáneo, y la tercera la elaboración de la propuesta urbano arquitectónica. La investigación bibliográfica permitió el conocimiento base de lo que históricamente tenía relevancia sobre los museos en la sociedad, en la segunda parte era fundamental la conclusión de selección de sitio, por lo que se investigó a nivel de ciudad los parámetros y proyectos futuros presentes en el Plan de Desarrollo y Ordenamiento Territorial del Cantón Loja para generar guías de donde se podría establecer el equipamiento, concluyendo en el sitio más propicio para el proyecto. En cuanto a la última fase, se identificaron estrategias arquitectónicas y urbanas para el diseño del museo de arte contemporáneo. El análisis de proyectos referentes también permitió identificar aspectos relevantes que se tomaron en cuenta para la propuesta. Se tiene presente el origen del planteamiento del problema, donde se desarrolló la propuesta urbano arquitectónica, la cual genera espacios de difusión de arte contemporáneo, fortalece la red distrital de espacios públicos y áreas verdes de la ciudad. El resultado es una propuesta que funciona como museo, cuenta con los servicios necesarios para ser un depositario de patrimonio cultural y centro de investigación, un espacio donde sus usuarios puedan interactuar y ser parte de una experiencia gratificante para sus sentidos. The city of Loja has stood out around history for its cultural achievements of different kinds, giving it a relevant appointment and decreed in the Constitution of Ecuador, as "Cultural Capital of Ecuador." The present research work proposes the intervention of a large-scale equipment, such as a museum, specifically of contemporary art, which is integrated into the natural and urban context. The development of the project is carried out in three phases: a bibliographic research phase, the second of selection and analysis of the site for the implantation of a contemporary art museum, and the third the elaboration of the architectural urban proposal. The bibliographic research allowed the basic knowledge of what was historically relevant to museums in society, in the second part the conclusion of site selection was essential, so the parameters and future projects present in the city were investigated at the city level. Development Plan and Territorial Ordering of the Loja Canton to generate guides where the equipment could be established, concluding in the most suitable site for the project. Regarding the last phase, architectural and urban strategies were identified for the design of the contemporary art museum. The analysis of reference projects also made it possible to identify relevant aspects that were taken into account for the proposal. The origin of the problem statement is taken into account, where the architectural urban proposal was developed, which generates spaces for the dissemination of contemporary art, strengthens the district network of public spaces and green areas of the city. The result is a proposal that works as a museum, has the necessary services to be a depository of cultural heritage and a research center, a space where its users can interact and be part of a rewarding experience for their senses.
