This thesis has been created for the sole purpose to the people to know the work that the press agencies do in the paper El Comercio as well to the work the paper itself performs. The main theme of the argument was the journalistic construction of the Libyan conflict with their former leader Muammar El Gadafi; this range of study helped for the analysis to be of 270 papers and from this number of papers only to take into account the ones who gave the news continuity to the theme that´s being analyzed. Only 69 papers of El Comercio fulfill de characteristics that were needed to be part of the study. After, a card was created to help with the analysis; 8 different types of criteria were implemented for the qualitative and numeric analysis could be successfully performed. Like in every study, one have to know the basis of the theme is working on; in this case the basis were how the press agencies collects the information as well to their relationship with the local papers, specifically the connection between Agence France Presse (AFP) and Reuters with El Comercio. The paper previously mentioned keeps contracts with over 5 international press agencies, not only due to the work of the agencies is like a quality stamp according to Richard Cortez editor of El Comercio but also is because having a red of correspondents can be extremely expensive.
