Diseño de sonrisa digital (dsd): resolución de estética dental en paciente joven mediante técnica mínimamente invasiva

Abstract

La estética dental, representa un factor importante en la población en general. La sonrisa es la encargada de transmitir sentimientos de felicidad y bienestar, aportando múltiples beneficios como seguridad, felicidad y aceptación. En la sonrisa los dientes deben presentar armonía en tamaño y forma, sin embargo, irregularidades en estos factores representan el motivo de consulta más frecuente en las clínicas odontológicas. Actualmente los materiales dentales se han desarrollado y evolucionado rápidamente, brindando así mayor estética, favoreciendo la aplicación de tratamientos mínimamente invasivos implicados en la preservación de la mayor cantidad de tejido dental posible. En el presente caso clínico se trató a un paciente con discrepancias de tamaño dental en el sector anterosuperior, restableciendo armonía en la sonrisa mediante la aplicación de diseño de sonrisa digital y restauraciones directas mínimamente invasivas en la zona incisal de los dientes con resina compuesta. Es importante destacar la relevancia de un diagnóstico adecuado, junto con un plan de tratamiento individualizado para diseñar una sonrisa armónica, favoreciendo de forma directa en el aspecto estético, funcional y psicológico del paciente. Dental aesthetics represents an important factor in the general population. The smile is responsible for transmitting feelings of happiness and well-being, providing multiple benefits such as security, happiness and acceptance. In the smile, the teeth must present harmony in size and shape, however, irregularities in these factors represent the most frequent reason for consultation in dental clinics. Currently dental materials have developed and evolved rapidly, thus providing greater aesthetics, favoring the application of minimally invasive treatments involved in the preservation of as much dental tissue as possible. In the present clinical case, a patient with tooth size discrepancies in the upper anterior sector was treated. The plan to establish harmony in the patient's smile included applying digital smile design and minimally invasive direct restorations in the incisal area of the teeth with composite resin. It is important to highlight the relevance of an adequate diagnosis, together with an individualized treatment plan, to design a harmonious smile, directly favoring the aesthetic, functional, and psychological aspect of the patient.
