We treated a 35 year old patient at the dental clinic of the International University of Ecuador, for a routine checkup. a clinical history is realized in complete detail, we could observe the inclusion of the permanent canines and the persistence of the temporary which are also without a root. the included canines are those teeth the never erupted and stay inside of the maxilla further more than the normal erupting age. the interest for the inclusion of the canines is developed because its absence interferes with the biomechanical masticatory function of the upper maxilla, in facial development, the possible formation of cysts and because of the sequel that the extraction leaves we carried out a multidisciplinary treatment plan in which it was required to extract the impacted superior anchylosed canines with surgical conservative techniques. to preserve the alveolar bone structure we allocated bone tissue and orthontics to be able to recover space and be able to rehabilitate the patient with an implant. the evolution of the patient was satisfactory and presents harmony between dental structures in the upper maxilla, with enough space for a canine implant that will accomplish oclusal stability and aesthetics. a dental implant was screwed in on the right side #13 and bone tissue filled the bone anomaly on the left side #23. we await its calcification and pending its rehabilitation.
