Análisis del impacto sociaambiental en las playas del Ecuador, mediante la creación de una empresa de servicios para limpieza de playas

Abstract

En este proyecto se estudia la factibilidad y el impacto tanto social como ambiental que tiene la implementación del servicio de limpieza automatizado en las playas de Atacames, Tonsupa y Playas Villamil, teniendo en cuenta la producción de basura en estas zonas costeras en las distintas épocas del año. Se ha tomado en cuenta datos e información del Ministerio de Turismo y del proyecto mundial de limpieza de playas, el mismo que se realiza también en algunas playas del Ecuador como son las antes mencionadas. La contaminación a nivel mundial es alta, por esto se han tomado muchas medidas en diferentes países. Esta contaminación no está solo en el aire a causa del CO2 procedente de las industrias, sino que también se encuentra en suelos yaguas, producto muchas veces de desechos sólidos y líquidos. Su efecto es enorme sobre los diferentes ecosistemas, afectando sobre todo flora y fauna endémica que muchas veces muere cada año a causa de éstos desechos. Por otro lado afecta en gran medida a la salud de los habitantes aledaños a estos ecosistemas, sean estos visitantes o residentes. En la visita del estudio de campo que se realizó a finales de enero del presente año, se pudo constatar que la contaminación de las playas afecta notablemente al turismo, y por ende a la economía de cada zona. Aunque los municipios aseguran que el aspecto de desechos si es tomado en cuenta en las regulaciones, aún no lo hacen totalmente y de una manera eficiente, pues al momento existe basura en las playas, contaminación producida por las personas, residentes y visitantes de éstos lugares. No existen regulaciones ambientales, ni planes de manejo, ni una verdadera cultura de limpieza donde se dé a la naturaleza la importancia suficiente para mantenerla, cuidarla y protegerla.

This project examines the feasibility and the social and environmental impact that has the implementation of the automated cleanliness service in the beaches of Atacames, Tonsupa and Villamil, bearing in mind the garbage production in these coastal zones in the different seasons. There has been taken into consideration data and information of the Department of Tourism and of the world project of beach cleanliness, the same that is also performed in some beaches of Ecuador as the ones described above. The contamination at global level is high, for this reason many measures have been taken in different countries. This contamination is not only in the air with the CO2, but is also found in soils and waters, due to solid waste, and its effect on the different ecosystems, altering the flora and endemic wildlife that die each year by the intake of these wastes. On the other hand affects largely the health of the inhabitants, both, visitors and residents. In the visit of the field study that was conducted at the end of January of this year, we were able to establish that the contamination at the beaches significantly impacts tourism, and thus to the economy of each zone. Although the municipalities ensures that this scope is taken into account, still it is not fully done on an efficient way .At the moment, garbage is still found at the beaches, pollution that is produced by people, residents and visitors to these places because there are no 6 environmental regulations or a true culture of cleaning where the sufficient importance is given to nature to keep it, care for it.
