In the world, the so-called FinTechs are gaining market share, through the delivery of value that adapt to the new lifestyles of their customers. FinTechs incorporate within their solutions a high technological component, which allows them to be more efficient, and reach more demand. Therefore banks and other participants in the financial industry in Ecuador, must observe what happens around them, and internally create the skills they need to compete adapting their way of doing business to the new reality in the market. With FinTech, a new business model has been born to provide financing, which is the main activity of a bank. This business model called Peer to Peer Lending, changes the traditional rules of the game for loans, where it basically allows bidders and money seekers to meet directly, without the need for a bank. This new business model challenges the basic truths in the credit business....
