Abstract: Paciente de 9 años de edad de sexo femenino, sin antecedentes médicos de importancia. Acude con su madre a la consulta odontológica, el día 6 de febrero del presente año, debido al apiñamiento dental que posee la paciente, después de la anamnesis y observación de la paciente no se detecta presencia de hábitos perniciosos; al observar la dentición de la madre se podría decir que el apiñamiento se debe a un factor hereditario. A lo largo del tratamiento odontológico tenemos a una niña preocupada por sus dientes y se muestra muy colaboradora al tratamiento que se le está aplicando. Después de haber realizado el examen clínico extraoral e intraoral, y analizar la radiografía panorámica y radiografía lateral a través de la Cefalometría encontramos una paciente con dentición mixta, con un tratamiento previo de placas activas, una mordida clase 2, encontramos giroversión del diente 4.2, palatoversión de los dientes 2.2 y 1.2 y falta de espacio para los caninos definitivos; el tratamiento empezó con la elaboración de placas activas superior e inferior y controles y activaciones semanales de las placas. Como resultado se logró alineación de dientes anteriores y mantención con aparatología para espacios de piezas posteriores.
Patient 9-year-old female, she hasn’t medical history of importance. She go with her mother to dentist, on February 6 this year, due to dental crowding that the patient has, after interview and patient observation we cannot detect the presence of harmful habits, when we observe the mother dentition we could say that the dental crowding is due to a hereditary factor. Throughout the dental treatment we have a little girl worried about her teeth and she is very collaborative while treatment is being applied. After making the extraoral and intraoral clinical examination and panoramic radiography analyze lateral radiograph through Cephalometry, we found a patient with mixed dentition, with active plate pretreatment, bite Class 2, we can see the tooth giroversión 4.2, palatoversión of teeth 2.2 and 1.2 and lack of space for canines definitive. The treatment began with the elaboration of top and bottom active plates, also controls and plates weekly activations. The result was achieved above teeth alignment and maintenance with appliances for posterior teeth spaces.
