Rehabilitación estética en paciente edéntulo parcial mediante prótesis mixta con ataches. Reporte de caso

Abstract

El edentulismo parcial es una patología que llega a afectar el estilo y la calidad de vida de una persona, por lo que en la actualidad existen diversos tipos de tratamientos que nos ayudan a solucionar este problema, uno de ellos es la prótesis mixta que se conforma de dos tipos de prótesis combinadas, una fija que consta de coronas metal-porcelana cementadas y otra removible, con un esqueleto, el cual va sujeto a la prótesis fija mediante un anclaje, conocido como atache, el cual permanece invisible con la consecuente ventaja estética, diferenciándose de los tradicionales ganchos anti estéticos de las prótesis removibles convencionales. Los ataches son aditamentos que se conforman de dos partes iguales pero inversas, una parte llamada macho que está incluida en los extremos de las coronas fijas cementadas, y la otra parte conocida como hembra que se encuentra en la parte adyacente a los machos de la prótesis removible. Como conclusión podemos decir que este tipo de prótesis además de proporcionar una mejor estética al paciente también ayuda a obtener una alta fijación y estabilidad de la parte removible del sistema...
