Abstract: En años recientes se ha logrado un significativo avance en cuanto a cuestiones de desarrollo urbano, principalmente en las ciudades consideradas grandes, sin embargo en las ciudades pequeñas no se ha tenido la penetración y el alcance necesario para poder obtener mejores resultados. La consecución de buenos resultados mediante la ejecución de proyectos pareciera ser una cuestión más bien de actitud y voluntad, más que de recursos económicos, no demeritando la importancia tangible que tiene en estos casos los modos de financiamiento de los mismos. Instituciones como la Universidad Internacional del Ecuador, por su calidad de Universidad Nacional, como parte de la formación de nuevos profesionales del país debe asumir el compromiso de formar profesionales que proyecten su trabajo a las comunidades menos favorecidas y a su vez incentive una conciencia social en los alumnos practicantes, sin tomar una actitud pasiva sino más bien activa. Ese debería ser el caso de los trabajos de fin de carrera en los cuales, los alumnos se deben enfrentar a la realidad nacional, cruda tal vez, pero realidad al fin, y asumir así su compromiso como alumnos con su país y con su universidad y no sólo detectar los problemas y sus causas, proponer soluciones que a la postre es lo más importante...
In the last years, there has been an increment of urban design, but only in the main cities around the world, therefore in the small ones, has been a lack of care in the matter of design. The International University of Ecuador has the compromise of forming new professionals in order to give their knowledge to improve the small towns that have been forgotten by the central government. One of the big needs of the small town is the lack of urban equipment, and this brings a problem with the small cities, because they grow up, but there is no control with the way that the population grows. The Terminals were built some years ago, and by the time there were built, wasn’t thought the increment that the city will have in the future, and brings some problems to the cities by its location, that with this increment, now it is located in the middle of the cities and the traffic is very heavy at the rush hours...
