This research developed and evaluated a predictive approach to estimate, seven days in advance, the relationship between hospital demand and available capacity in groups of healthcare facilities in Ecuador. Data from the 2022-2024 period were used, including hospital discharges, bed availability, and causes of discharge, starting from 3,434,083 records with national coverage across 633 healthcare facilities. The study consolidated a reproducible process for data integration, cleaning, feature engineering, modeling, evaluation, and operational prioritization. Scenarios with and without outliers were evaluated using Machine Learning models, mainly Random Forest and XGBoost, and a complementary Deep Learning experiment was incorporated through a lightweight dense neural network (MLP_light). In the main benchmark, the best Machine Learning result was obtained with XGBoost in the scenario with outliers and the complete set of variables (WMAPE 0.369118; MAE 0.060626; RMSE 0.088753). Meanwhile, the MLP_light experiment achieved the best WMAPE result of the study (0.362742), showing competitive performance under specific configurations…es
