Proyecto Sur Arena

Abstract

El presente proyecto desarrolla el diseño de un sport bar en la ciudad de Loja, concebido a partir de una reflexión sobre el territorio, la identidad, y la energía colectiva. Bajo el nombre Sur Arena, la propuesta parte de la idea de “arena” como tierra trabajada y como espacio de encuentro, vinculando el esfuerzo físico del deporte con el trabajo manual que histórica mente ha definido al sur del país. El concepto se traduce a una propuesta espacial donde la materialidad - metal, madera y tonos terracota; el lugar/ubicación - subsuelo de una vivienda- construye una atmósfera robusta pero cercana. La organización del espacio se articula alrededor de una arena centra que concentra la experiencia y refuerza el carácter social del lugar. Under the name Sur Arena, the proposal is based on the idea of “arena” as worked land and as a meeting place, linking the physical effort of sport with the manual labor that has historically defined the south of the country. The concept translates into a spatial proposal where the materiality—metal, wood, and terracotta tones—and the place/location—the basement of a house—create a robust but intimate atmosphere. The space is organized around a central arena that concentrates the experience and reinforces the social character of the place.
